Tactical day trek to the imposing Waqrapukara Inca fortress, sculpted into colossal rock formations high above the deep Apurimac canyon. A path free of crowds, mystical and mechanically demanding.

04:00 am departure. Breakfast at Cusipata. Scenic drive by Pomacanchi lagoon and Acos to Huayqui community. Begin the 3-hour steady uphill hike. Arrive at Waqrapukara complex at 4300m. Guided exploration of shrines, plazas, and rock art caves. Hike down to Huayqui, late lunch, and Cusco arrival at 19:00.
