Peru holds massive biological diversity and Manu represents the southeastern rainforest, focused entirely on conservation and indigenous culture protection.

Departure from Cusco visiting Ninamarca pre-Inca site and historical Paucartambo. Descend through Acjanaco pass into the Cloud Forest to observe the Cock-of-the-rock. Night at Bambu Lodge.
Breakfast and visit to the Hummingbird Garden. Drive to Atalaya port to board a motorized boat. 30-minute navigation down the Alto Madre de Dios river to Soga de Oro Lodge. Afternoon jungle hike.
Early 25-minute boat ride to the parrot clay lick. Followed by a wooden raft exploration of Machuwasi lake to spot exotic birds and wildlife. Optional night hike.
Packing and 30-minute boat ride back to Atalaya port. Board private minivan to start the overland climb across the Andes, arriving in Cusco around 18:00.
