4:30 am departure via Calca. Visit Ancashmarca Inca site and Puyas de Raimondi bromeliads. Arrive at Lares to soak in medicinal hot springs while the chef prepares breakfast. Waist loom textile demonstration. 2-hour hike to Kiswarani for lunch and final 2-hour climb to the Blue Lagoon at 3900m.
The most demanding section. 4-hour uphill trek surrounded by high Andean lakes and Wallatas geese to Condor Pass at 4750m, the highest point. Andean spiritual ceremony. 2-hour descent to lunch at Acopata and 2 more hours down to the native off-grid community of Cancha Cancha.
4-hour descent from cold high mountains to the warm green Sacred Valley in Huaran. Picnic lunch and farewell to horsemen. Private van to Maras Salt Mines to explore ancestral pans. Walking tour of Ollantaytambo and train to Aguas Calientes.
Early breakfast and bus ascent to the park entrance. Comprehensive 2 to 3-hour guided tour covering the classic viewpoints and main temples of Circuit 2. Descent to Aguas Calientes and unified Vistadome train return to Ollantaytambo with final van to Cusco.
