7:00 am pickup to Tambomachay, 20 minutes away from Cusco. Begin a 4-hour uphill hike to Qoricocha Lake (3700m) for lunch by the lakeshore. Continue for 3 hours over flat and rolling trails to the traditional farming village of Qenqo at 3800m.
3-hour hike to Huchuy Qosqo (3600m), Viracocha's Inca palace with massive terraces, stone aqueducts, and suspended plazas. 1-hour descent to Lamay for a country lunch. Van transfer to Ollantaytambo, historical walk, and 19:00 train to Aguas Calientes.
Healthy breakfast at hotel and Consettur bus boarding. Expert 3 to 4-hour guided entry exploring the architectural mysteries of the Lost City of the Incas. Free descent to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Return on panoramic Vistadome train toward Ollantaytambo and final van to Cusco.
