Pickup at 04:30 am to Mollepata for local breakfast. Trail starts with a 3-hour climb to Humantay Lake (4200m) to explore its turquoise mirror. Lunch at Soraypampa and final 2-hour hike to the exclusive Glamp Camp at 4150m.
Critical day. 2-hour climb to the Salkantay Pass at 4,630m, the highest barometric point. Periglacial lake exploration. 3-hour descent to lunch at Wayracmachay. Further 3-hour downhill trek entering the humid cloud forest to Collpapampa.
3-hour march along the Urubamba river through tropical plantations to Lucmabamba. Underground Pachamanca BBQ feast and organic coffee roasting workshop. 3-hour climb via an authentic Inca Trail section to the Llactapata ridge (2750m) directly facing Machu Picchu.
Wake up with clean views of the Llaqta. 2-hour descent to the Hydroelectric plant for final lunch with the chef. 3-hour trek along the railway tracks skirting the Vilcanota river. Optional stop at Mandor Botanical Gardens. Hotel check-in at Aguas Calientes.
Boarding the first Consettur buses at 06:00 am to the archaeological checkpoint. 2.5-hour expert guided deployment covering major sectors via Circuit 2. Bus descent to town and boarding the panoramic Vistadome train toward Ollantaytambo for final transfer.
