5:00 am departure. Visit Paucartambo local museum and descend to the Cloud Forest. Box lunch on the way watching orchids and giant ferns. Night at Bambu Lodge.
Transfer to Atalaya port, visit Hummingbird Garden, and boat ride. Raft navigation at Machuhuasi lake to spot the prehistoric Shansho bird. Deep 4x4 pickup ride to Dorado Lodge.
Active conservation workshop: using shovel and pick for georeferencing, photography, and tagging native trees (Tornillo/Aguaje). Buffet lunch. Night trek to the mammal clay lick targeting tapirs.
Dawn fast trek to the lick to spot the rare Blue-headed Macaw. Breakfast and return: 4x4 ride to Villa Salvacion, switching to private minibus straight to Cusco.
