Operational Terms & Conditions
Mandatory Clauses
To guarantee the success of your Expedition, we require mutual respect for these logistical rules. By proceeding with payment, the Traveler fully accepts these terms.
1. Accuracy of Personal Data
Securing a Government Permit requires your exact passport number. Once payment is processed through the state systems, these details cannot be modified. Any spelling errors will cause the state to void your entry to the Inca Trail irreversibly.
2. Acclimatization Protocol
To prevent altitude sickness (Soroche), it is strictly mandatory for the Traveler to arrive in Cusco at least 48 hours prior to starting the Expedition to allow proper cardiovascular acclimatization.
3. Booking & Confirmation Deposits
We allocate your Physical Resource and secure your Operations Crew only after receiving an initial deposit (typically 50%). Bookings are not formally confirmed without this payment.
4. Student Status Verification
Travelers booking with a student discount must bring their original, physical student ID. Failure to present the physical card at checkpoints will result in full-price penalties levied by government authorities.
5. Logistical Restriction (Cancellations)
Cancellations are strictly regulated. Canceling more than 30 days out incurs a 15% banking and administrative fee. Canceling between 10 and 30 days results in a 20% loss. Critical Exception: For all Inca Trail bookings, cancellations result in a 50% to 100% loss of the investment, as government-issued passes are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
