About this Expedition
Qeswachaca is a suspension bridge made of braided straw or ichu ropes, bound using ancient Quechua engineering. A living legacy preserved by four communities.

4:00 am pickup. Andean breakfast at Cusipata. Hike to Pabellones Mini Volcano. Arrive at Quehue to cross the last hand-woven straw Inca suspension bridge over the Apurimac river canyon. Scenic birdwatching drive through Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnacocha, and Pampamarca lagoons. Buffet lunch at Cusipata and drive back.
